Herringbone Flooring
Herringbone is a layout language, not one universal product construction. Hawkline offers two clearly separated pattern directions: Mercury in the rigid SPC family and Flex Herringbone as glue-down LVT.
Start with the installation system and project conditions, then choose the decor. Keeping those systems distinct prevents a visual similarity from becoming an inaccurate technical claim.

Build the pattern brief
Choose the construction first: rigid SPC Mercury or glue-down LVT Flex Herringbone. The visual family may overlap, but installation and product data do not.
Record the room axis, focal direction, transitions and approximate coverage. Pattern scale and lighting can change the effect, so compare physical samples in context.
Share drawings or basic dimensions with the installer and supplier early. This reduces late changes to starting lines, borders and material planning.
Mercury: patterned rigid SPC
Mercury is the SPC option in this comparison. It supports herringbone and chevron-oriented visual planning within a rigid flooring family.
Use the Mercury collection page for confirmed construction, dimensions, installation and decor data. Do not transfer Flex specifications to Mercury.
Flex Herringbone: glue-down LVT
Flex Herringbone is a dedicated glue-down LVT collection. Its installation method and construction remain separate from SPC even when both floors create a herringbone impression.
A prepared substrate, correct bonded installation and careful set-out are part of the professional specification.
